November 11 News – Geehy Semiconductor, a domestic MCU chip original manufacturer, has officially launched the high-cost-performance APM32F403 series microcontrollers. This new product has obtained IEC 60730/60335 functional safety certification and comes with a Class B-compliant functional safety library. It eliminates the need for customers to invest heavily in additional R&D resources for safety compliance development, helping terminal products quickly pass industry safety certifications and providing reliable chip solutions for fields with high safety requirements such as charging piles, medical devices, and smart home appliances.

Against the backdrop of accelerating domestic MCU replacement and growing demand for functional safety, the APM32F403 series precisely addresses the pain points of the mid-range market, achieving a balance between high performance, high integration, low power consumption, and low cost. Equipped with the Arm® Cortex®-M4F core, it supports a maximum operating frequency of 120MHz, a single-precision Floating-Point Unit (FPU), and 2 DMA units with 12 data streams. It can efficiently handle complex algorithms and real-time data, easily adapting to scenarios such as precise counting of encoders and signal processing of medical devices. In terms of memory configuration, the chip integrates 128KB Flash and 32KB SRAM, meeting the program storage and operation needs of most mid-range applications. It also offers four package options – QFN36, QFN48, LQFP48, and LQFP64 – to adapt to the PCB layout design of different terminal products, ensuring high flexibility.

Rich peripheral interfaces are one of the core advantages of the APM32F403, greatly enhancing system integration and application scalability. The chip features dual CAN interfaces compatible with 2.0A and 2.0B (active) specifications, supporting a maximum communication rate of 1Mbit/s, which perfectly meets the bus communication needs of industrial control and automotive-related scenarios. It integrates a PHY high-speed USB_OTG controller, supporting device and host mode switching for convenient high-speed data transmission in devices like barcode scanners and receipt printers. Additionally, it is equipped with 1 I2C interface, 4 U(S)ART interfaces (all supporting DMA function), 2 SPI interfaces (with a maximum communication rate of 18Mbit/s), and other high-speed communication interfaces, as well as 1 temperature sensor and 2 12-bit high-precision ADCs with a maximum sampling rate of 1Msps. This enables dynamic, high-precision real-time sampling, providing accurate data support for scenarios such as temperature control of HVAC panels and physiological signal collection of medical devices.

Industrial-grade reliability design allows the APM32F403 to adapt to various harsh operating environments. It supports a wide supply voltage range of 2.0V~3.6V, compatible with different power supply schemes and avoiding the impact of voltage fluctuations on device operation. The operating temperature range covers -40℃~105℃, ensuring stable operation in outdoor charging piles in northern winters and industrial equipment under high-temperature working conditions. Meanwhile, the chip has strong electromagnetic interference (EMI) resistance, with ESD HBM up to ±5000V and CDM up to ±1000V, reducing signal interference in complex electromagnetic environments and ensuring product stability and reliability.

To lower the development threshold for customers, the APM32F403 is fully compatible with Geehy's mature software and hardware ecosystem.
