MPS, a global leader in analog and power management chips, has issued a price increase notice to customers and distributors. In the notice dated March 17, MPS cited a rebound in overall semiconductor demand and sustained cost increases in raw materials and manufacturing. The company stated that sales teams will work directly with customers and distribution partners to manage the transition.

Founded in 1997 and listed on Nasdaq in 2004, MPS specializes in power management ICs for automotive, cloud computing, storage, communications, industrial control, and consumer electronics.

The price hike reflects ongoing cost pressures in the semiconductor industry and is expected to impact supply chain costs across downstream applications.

ICgoodFind : MPS’s price adjustment stems from upstream cost pressure. Downstream customers should connect with channels now and plan inventory ahead to manage the impact.
